Peavey VT 212 Classic
This Peavey 212 classic is a versatile amplifier.
A 50 watt tube power amplifier (2x KT88 STR by TAD) is combined with two semiconductor input stages.
Each preamplifier has its own characteristic sound. The amplifier has four inputs.
The ‘Bright’ input channel delivers a signal with a beautiful high end and harmonics.
The ‘Normal’ channel has two inputs: A high gain and a low gain input.
Both channels have their own gain control on the front and can use the spring reverb and built-in phaser.
Then there is a Combiner input. This can best be used with the supplied footswitch.
Both preamplifiers can be switched individually in this channel, or they can be used in combination.
For example, the clean channel can overdrive the normal channel.
The footswitch has four switches: Channel select. Channel combine. Reverb on/off and Phaser on/off.
Reverb master control and phaser setting (with on/off switch) are on the front panel after the tone control.
All in all an amplifier with a good sound and versatile settings.
